My name is Esme, and I am the owner and lead dentist at Tayport Dental Practice. Prior to opening Tayport Dental Practice, I worked in Leven for over 20 years, latterly owning Banbeath Dental Practice. I enjoy all aspects of dentistry and love getting to know my patients. I am delighted that many of my patients I treated in Leven have followed me to Tayport.
When I’m not working, I enjoy travelling and exploring new places, as well as cooking and baking, and drinking the odd glass of prosecco!
I am married to David, and we have a daughter, Mackenzie, who you may see helping at reception from time to time.
As a family, we foster Guide Dogs, and if you’re lucky, you might meet a Guide Dog at your dental appointment!
I am excited to be working in Tayport and look forward to transforming the teeth of the people of Tayport and the surrounding areas. - GDC Registration Number 67085

After graduating with a degree in dentistry, I completed my vocational training in a general dental practice in Banff. Following this, I worked at Dundee Dental Hospital and within the Community Dental Service in Dundee, where I developed a strong foundation in treating a wide range of patients, including those with complex needs. These roles enhanced my ability to deliver care with empathy, precision, and a focus on preventative dentistry. Since then, I have worked in several well-established practices across Dundee and Fife. These diverse experiences have allowed me to build strong relationships with patients and tailor my approach to suit individual needs.
I am passionate about helping patients achieve and maintain healthy, confident smiles. With a gentle approach and a focus on preventive care, I work closely with each patient to create personalised treatment plans that support long-term oral health. Whether it's a routine cleaning or more advanced care, I am committed to making every visit a positive experience.
Outside of work, I enjoy exploring nature, often hiking in the hills, cycling at Tentsmuir or taking long walks with a friends Cockapoo. This love of the outdoors reflects a balanced, wellness-focused lifestyle that carries through to my patient care philosophy. Along with this, I do also enjoy relaxing by watching films and boxsets.
I look forward to welcoming you to the practice and helping you keep your smile strong and healthy for years to come. - GDC Registration Number 176315
