Tayport Dental Practice offers NHS Dental Treatment to under 26-year-olds and Denplan Essentials care plan to all other patients. This plan spreads the cost of routine preventative care. Alternatively, patients can pay on a private pay-as-you-go basis.

The Denplan Essentials plan is paid monthly by direct debit. Fees for dental treatment are paid either prior to commencement of treatment, or at the completion of treatment appointment. Tayport Dental Practice accepts cash and most debit/credit cards. Cheques are not accepted.
An estimate for your treatment costs will be provided at your dental examination. This estimate will be discussed with you to avoid any confusion.
An over 26-year-old new patient exam will cost £55, including diagnostic x-rays. If you sign up for the Denplan essentials care plan, £15.50 will be deducted from this cost.
If you have a dental emergency, call the practice for advice as early as possible on the day. After triaging, an emergency appointment will be given. Swelling, trauma and bleeding are prioritised, and will be seen in the emergency slot.
Emergency appointments are from 11:30-12:30 every day.
If you require an appointment out with opening hours, then please call NHS 24 on 111, selecting option 2.
Tayport Dental Practice participates in Fife EDS, where patients with dental emergencies are seen on Saturday and Sunday. This service is also accessed by calling NHS 24 on 111, again selecting option 2.
Tayport Dental Practice is wheelchair accessible, however, there is no disabled bathroom.
The practice asks that at least 24 hours’ notice is given for all appointment cancellations.
The practice policy is to charge all patients who do not attend for scheduled appointments without cancelling. The charge is £1 per minute of wasted surgery time. This charge must be paid before another appointment can be made.
At Tayport Dental Practice, we are able to arrange an interpreter to assist you at your dental appointment. This is provided through LanguageLineUK (0800 169 2879) Please inform reception at the time of booking if you require this service.
